An Anglican Eucharist is held in the Chapel every Sunday morning in term. The material here was designed for use at those services, but is also used for a short lunchtime service on alternate Wednesday lunchtimes, and for a joint Anglican and Methodist service on alternate Thursday evenings.

We wanted to be able to present Common Worship with freedom and flexibility, but in a user-friendly way which would not scare off students unused to Anglican worship.

We have seven distinct orders of service available, refered to by letters P-V. Each is printed on A5 leaflets one sheet of A4 folded.

Orders U and V have eucharistic prayers E and H, respectively, built in. The Lord's Prayer is used to conclude the intercessions, so strictly these orders fall under the provisions of the Service of the Word with Holy Communion.

Orders P to T are used with various eucharistic prayers which are printed on A5 sheets. We currently have B, E, G and H available.

The table below compares the orders. The rubrics normally allow the minister to use alternative texts, or to omit particular items. Page references are to the Common Worship main volume unless otherwise stated.

You can download the texts in either Acrobat (.pdf) format, or in Microsoft Publisher format.
