In the power of the Spirit, and in union with Christ, we bring our prayers to God the Father, saying Jesus, Lord of the Church

In your mercy, hear us.

We pray that we may bring the values of the Kingdom of God to our communities.

Help us O god, as we engage with social issues,

to speak with courage,

call for justice,

hold to the truth

and reach out with love.

Give us wisdom as today we discuss marriage in church after divorce.

Jesus, Lord of the Church

In your mercy, hear us.

We pray that we may bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.

Challenge us, O God, to equip our church to evangelise,

That we may speak with boldness,

Call to repentance,

Hold out your forgiveness

And reach out with your care.

Give us creativity as today we look ahead to the future of evangelism in the Diocese.

In your mercy, hear us.

 

We pray that we might be a church which values all its members.

Teach us Lord how we might encourage and welcome children and young people, that we may speak with humility,

call for your future for them

hold out welcoming arms

and reach out with your acceptance.

Give strength to all who work in Education, and all involved in Time Travelling.

Jesus, Lord of the Church

In your mercy, hear us.

We pray that we may be active disciples of Jesus Christ.

Show us O God how we might enable and develop the ministry of all, that all your people may speak with your wisdom,

call others into our fellowship

hold on to the promises of faith,

and reach out to the world in service.

Bring to fruition plans for the Lay Training certificate, and show us all that we must learn from you.
